Shoot for Silver at Home Part 3 - Pellet Testing in the AirVenturi Comp10, 10M .177 cal Air Pistol
I had this idea. Depending on where you live, the winter months can be a drought season for shooting sports. But what if you could do short-range, high-precision shooting that would sharpen your skills for when the ice thaws and the snow melts...or the AC kicks back on depending on where you are living.
Which brings me to this video. In this video I do a round-up of all the .177 cal wadcutter I could get to feed the Comp10, 10 Meter Competition .177 cal Air Pistol by AirVenturi. You'll see rested groups being shot, and once the "best" pellets are selected, I'll shoot a "group" at 6 yards. I'm nowhere near Olympic caliber, but I've definitely a magnitude better than I was when I started.
I also discuss what I've learned over the past 4 months of shooting consistently with the Comp 10, and how I'm going to incorporate that into my shooting during the 2025 competition season.
Olympic style shooting generally, and the Comp10 specifically, represents a very different style of shooting from the pistol shooting I've done professionally as part of my work going back to the 90's. I've done lots of and gotten better, which is what this series is about. If you've stuck with me, I hope you've enjoyed the journey.
Thanks to Air Venturi for the support of this idea!
