100 Yard Dove Shot (Nov 6, 2011)

24 January 2012 / 206 views / Teds Holdover

Jan 24th 2012 Want to see how I cooked them up? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl2YzV... An overcast fall day - perfect for putting a few doves in the bag. In subsequent videos, I will demonstrate how I clean and cook these birds. Mourning Dove are the most hunted bird in North America, and for good reason - they are ABSOLUTELY delicious. You will never catch me giving one of these birds to the cats. And what's more, they are one of the easiest birds to field dress, and the bag limit is usually 15, so you can enjoy a full day of hunting. Their numbers can get out of hand from time to time. This is due to their new-found love affair with humans. They are quick to take advantage of our waste and they love farm land. Their numbers have actually increased since European settlers (conquerors?) came to this land. Equipment used: Gun - Edgun Matador PCP .22 Air Rifle The Camera Mount I used to record through the scope can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0069VXY7K/... The slow-motion camera I use to film the shots through the scope is the Casio EX-FC150. That camera is no longer made, but you can buy its successor (which is actually a better camera than the one I use) here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004H3X1EI/... The Exact same Hawke Scope that I use in this video (Sidewinder TAC 30 6.5-20x) can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00413KACA/...
