Karma Airguns EQ .25 cal - Field Review of the new Pre-Charged Pneumatic Bullpup Pellet Rifle
Hopefully you've seen my series of shorts on the Karma Airguns EQ. I've gone over the main features of the bullpup, documented trigger weight pre and post upgrade and weight. If you haven't seen those, check them out under shorts.
Since we have already talked a bunch about features, I thought (and had an opportunity) I'd head out to my old stomping grounds in Wisconsin (yes, I had to buy an out-of-state hunting license) to put the Karma Airguns EQ through its paces in the field.
Yes - This IS A PEST CONTROL VIDEO. All shots are taken on a series of farms, vineyards and orchards that are closed to the public. No firearms are shown in this video, only airguns. All species targeted are considered a nuisance based on damage done and depredation caused by these animals, many of whom are invasive.
Scope cam footage is handled courtesy of the Arken Optics Zulus Day-Night Digital Scope, which performed them well, as you'll see. As near as I can tell, Arken has shifted its digital line over to DNT, and when I updated firmware my Arken now has a DNT splash screen upon start-up.
I'm using the AEA .25 cal, 33 grain pellets in the EQ. The 600mm barrel is sligning the pellets at an average of 901 FPS. Plenty of power for aerial pest control, and a heavy enough pellet to buck the wind.
In my opinion the field (whatever that looks like for you) is the place where the EQ shines. Not that it couldn't be a bench gun with the right accessories, but the bullpup configuration, power and durability all scream TAKE ME OUTSIDE TO SHOOT!
I hope you enjoy the video.
